This category deals with anthologies of crime that include a variety of crimes and criminals. Although not highly detailed, these books
give a good outline of the events and provide a good starting point for further study.
Some unusual cases are contained in the set of “Famous Trials of Sri Lanka” by Mr A.C. Alles, former Judge of the Supreme
Court; Rupert Furneaux’s 7-volume selection which includes many infamous British cases as well as some crimes from around the world; an excellent Regional Murder Series from America, concentrating on the major
cities and some intriguing cases from South Africa by Benjamin Bennett. More recently there has been a superb series by John Eddlestone covering various British cities and a paperback
collection of regional British murders published by Countryside Books.
